Ottawa Chiropractor, Dr. Marc Desjardins
"I wish I had known then what I know now..."
I discovered chiropractic at the age of 17 when I became injured while playing hockey. My parents brought me to see a chiropractor because they wanted a second opinion on the diagnosis and treatment recommendations that I was given. It was then that I realized what chiropractors were really about and that I wanted to learn more. That experience led me to where I am today.
Once I became inspired, I began my studies at the University of Ottawa. After graduation, I applied and was accepted to The National College of Chiropractic in Chicago, Illinois. It was there when I made the discovery that my active lifestyle always warranted chiropractic to be a part of my life.
''Find it, Fix it and Leave it Alone'' is the attitude that I take when treating my patients. I take the time to listen to my patients needs so that I can tailor my recommendations to not only alleviate symptoms but also to achieve optimal functioning of the spine and nervous system, which will lead to a healthier body.
I feel that it is important to find the root of the problem. As a Doctor of Chiropractic who uses the Gonstead technique, I am very specific in my adjusting technique and as a result, my patients experience excellent results.
My family and I are very active in a wide variety of sports such as hockey, golf and skiing. In addition to our active lifestyles, my wife and children are also adjusted regularly to improve our performance in all areas of our lives.
I strongly believe that chiropractic is for everyone - from infants to grandparents! Our health cannot be taken for granted and I believe that chiropractic can play a major role in determining ones quality of life.
I consider myself to be an excellent listener and I hope I get the opportunity to meet you in person and discuss your specific health challenges. Give my office a call so I can help you take your first step towards better health.
